Hi! My name is Karen. I am a home maker who loves sewing and flower arrangement. I love spending my free times decorating my home with little handicrafts which I make. So, when I wasn't able to find a traditional red cloth & ball (hung chai) for Chinese New Year to my liking, I decided to make my own and have been doing so ever since. Instead of the usual pongee and cotton used by most traditional Chinese accessory shops, I prefer to make mine in satin and I feel so proud when friends and relatives ask me where I purchased them.
Every once in awhile, I would get special requests from friends and family to make the red cloth & ball. Either for use in a more traditional Chinese Weddings or they just want to spruce up their homes or offices for Chinese New Year. This has lead me to create this blog which (I hope), will allow me to reach a wider market. Thank You.
